What is an Active Optical Connector (AOC *) ?

Active Optical Connector V Series (AOC) transmission image (configuration): Standard type 1 channel-Bi-direction

Electrical connection is made between copper traces on the PCB where the entering electrical signals (differential signals) are later converted to optical signals inside the plug and transmitted through optical cables (optical fiber).

This optical transmission device enables high-speed transmission of large data.
External noise resistance and electrical isolation are possible with the Panasonic Active Optical Connector.
